Ninjala Season 12 starts today and this gumball arena battler is going fishing for trash with a wild new theme.
Fans of GungHo Online Entertainment’s brightly colored competitive title might be used to epic anime crossovers and Japanese pop stars, but Season 12 takes a very different twist. This time round Ninjala embraces a junkyard theme and even adds fishing into the mix. Already open and running until 26 April at 7 PM GMT PDT / 27 April at 2 AM GMT, this new event still has plenty of time for players go diving through trashcans to pick up a bunch of scraps, and steampunk-themed Avatar Items, unique emotes stickers, Gum Utsusemi transformations, and IPPON decorations. Rather than run through an exhaustive list, you can check out some of these new additions in the video below. This includes the new scrappy throw and the cutest pet ever.
Fishing
Yes, that’s right. Ninjala just added fishing. Fishing in Ninjala is an activity where you can enjoy catching seaborn flounders from the shores and ponds of the WNA Resort! All around the area, tons of different species and challenges are on offer. From one-off wins to weekly challenges, and even tournaments.
Like the real thing, the controls and fish you can catch differ depending on the type of rod and bait used. There are three distinct types of fishing on offer. This includes ploe-and-line, bait, and lure. If you learn all the different skills, and piece together the best rod then you can fill out a new species catalog for your collection. You can now buy fishing equipment at the Shinobi Shop, including Fishing Rods, Fishing Rod Skins, and Bait to customize the whole experience.
Loot
Of course, there are always goodies for every season. Fishing events will reward players with like bait, research points, Jala, and more, while players looking to loot some new IPPON from the usual reward runs can even try out the new new “Gambler Card” Shinobi Card and see if it has any effect on their in match buffs.
