Since its release in March, Nintendo Switch held record sales. Originally, Nintendo planned on selling 10 million more Switch units by the end of the fiscal year. But according to the latest report, the company now holds more ambitious plans in terms of manufacturing.
Nintendo Plans To Significantly Push Up Switch Manufacturing
The dark side of Nintendo Switch success has been that it was quite a feat to actually find the console. The game system had issues with its stock since March causing “customer tantrums”. The Financial Times reports that Nintendo ordered to a major production increase. The company’s plans now are to produce 18 million game systems by next March. However, the outlet also warns that Nintendo’s efforts may be impeded by the shortage of LCD screens.
