According to the NPD group, the record sales of Nintendo Switch did not stop in March. For the second month in a row, the console holds the first place as best-selling video game system. April had seen more than 280,000 units sold.
April sales of Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems (more than 68,000 units sold) combined to make up almost half of all hardware sales across all dedicated video game systems.
Following record-breaking launch in March, Nintendo Switch is the best-selling video game system of April
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the top-seeling game of the month. It had sold over 460,000 physical units. You can read our official review of the game here. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild continues its run, coming in as third-highest selling games. However, Nintendo doesn’t intend to stop with those accomplishments. This Summer will see a lot more new games release for the Switch and the 3DS:

- Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (Nintendo Switch, May 26th)
- ARMS (Nintendo Switch, June 16th)
- Ever Oasis (Nintendo 3DS, Just 23rd)
- Splatoon 2 (Nintendo Switch, July 21st)
