Nioh 2 has a new trailer. The sequel to the critically acclaimed RPG from Ninja Theory, has just dropped a ton of new information on the upcoming title.
Story Trailer
Just yesterday, Ninja Theory released a brand new story trailer for their latest RPG and this teaser reveals more than a little about the incoming story arc. After spending 2017 pitting samurai against the darkest of demons, the second in the series reveals a brand new set of characters. Taking place in japan around 1555, that is well before the original Nioh, the players will take on the role of a half-human part yokai hunter called Hideyoshi. When the hunter comes across powerful spirit stones, he unleashes both sides of his persona and sets off on a quest to explore a whole host of powerful abilities. We don’t want to spoil too much here so it’s probably best to check out the rest of the trailer, above.
The DLC
Alongside the trailer drop, Ninja Theory also announced a bunch of DLC that will come to the game. After launch, Ninja Theory will update Nioh 2 with three additional drops. In a blog post, over on the Playstation website, Tom Lee confirmed that
“The three DLC packs are included in Nioh 2’s Season Pass, which forms part of the game’s Digital Deluxe Edition (now available for pre-order). In addition to the main game and DLC, you’ll also get premium in-game items such as the Demon Horde armor set and Kodama Netsuke Charm.”
Players getting relevant editions will find a bunch of new weapons, storylines, and challenges if they can stump up for it. Hidden away on the same blog post, you’ll also find a cache of 98 new Nioh 2 photos giving a glimpse of the characters, enemies, and artwork involved in this new title. We’ve got to say this whole thing looks gorgeous. You c an find the Flickr collection online and further detail on the official Ninja Theory website.
