Team Ninja announced yesterday that they have officially surpassed the 2 million units sold mark for the hardcore action RPG Nioh!
Nioh, initially released on the PS4 back in 2017 was recently ported to the PC back in November. The Souls-like genre has some issues and a rocky start, but made an excellent addition to the brutal soul’s type game genre! The Steam release in November came in the form of a Complete Edition, bundling the game with the three DLC story pieces. You can find our review here.

More about Nioh:
Nioh is the latest hardcore action RPG from the minds at Team Ninja. Inspired by Dark Souls and TN’s own Ninja Gaiden, it’s a brutal experience set on the backdrop of a mythological pre-industrial revolution in Japan. It is exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and published by Koei Tecmo and Sony internationally. You play William, on a mission against both human and supernatural enemies, as you try to claim the stone Amrita for England. Needless to say, it won’t be an easy task. Inspired by the success of From Software’s Dark Souls series, Team Ninja used Nioh to bring the studio’s focus back to the hardcore action game that made them famous with Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox. They seem to have done so, as the game launched to near-universal critical and player acclaim. It’s heavy on the Action and RPG elements and carries a fair amount of difficulty, but most players claim it’s never cheap… just challenging.
