Historical Simulation Series Nobunaga's Ambition comes West with Taishi!

It wouldn’t come as a surprise to know you probably have never heard of the Nobunaga’s Ambition series.  It’s a popular grand strategy simulation series in Japan set in the Sengoku period starting with the year 1560.  You play as the warlord Oda Nobunaga, seeking to complete his ultimate goal in life, the complete unification of Japan. Oda Nobunaga is considered one of the three unifiers of Japan but died before he was able to finish his ambition of a complete unification of Japan due to the betrayal of one of his retainers, Akechi Mitsuhide.  You now have control over history.  You must work diligently to unify all of Japan and complete his ultimate desire!

Marking the 35th anniversary of the series, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi remains true to the long-running franchise’s historical simulation gameplay.  Allowing you to relive some of the most iconic, epic, and brutal events of the Sengoku era.  The Sengoku era was a period of turmoil, with warlords constantly fighting each other to gain superiority over the land.  It was Oda Nobunaga who sought to put an end to the fighting by eliminating anyone who opposed him and unifying all of Japan under one solitary banner.

Players will have to exploit a wide breadth of tactical options to create new strategies that allow new ways to gain the advantage over their opponent.  What’s more, these elements will be enhanced by a new system called the Resolve System; each officer has their own set of aspirations that will depict how they will act in a given situation and gameplay will change accordingly.

As a strategy game and Japanese history lover, I for one hope this is a great western release!  Nobunaga’s Ambition: Tashi comes to Steam and PS4 on June 5th!
