NOROI KAGO: the Grudged Domain comes to Steam Early Access on 23 January 2025.
Toei Animation and Toydium have announced that the doors to a scary story and an abandoned hospital will be open for the brave and foolish on 23 January. The Grudged Domain brings a uniquely Japanese twist to creepy nights in with a co-op survival horror crammed full of fearsome yokai. While these supernatural entities are simply part of local folklore, players can get a look at what’s out to get them in a new trailer and prepare to an abandoned hospital.
Early Access is set to push players into the aforementioned Abandoned Hospital stage. Originally closed due to bankruptcy many years ago, the dark corridors and dimly lit dishevelment hide a history of disturbing treatments and rumors of supernatural activity. Keep a close look out for the Hyakume, a yokai with eyes all over its body. It is capable of sending out its eyes to wander. If you’re discovered by those eyes.
If you want to evade this wandering menace and other yokai, players will need to work together, explore the game, and collect powerful items during your attempt to escape. Seemingly ripped right out of b movie horror shtick, the dimly lit surroundings and mix of animation style make this seem like it’s delving deep into horror history. If you love the likes of Dead by Daylight but want something a little different then this might be worth peering your eyes over.
