Nvidia GeForce NOW PICO Launch Brings Cloud Gaming To VR Headsets

VR headset manufacturer PICO has announced that gamers looking to get a big screen AAA gaming experience beamed right into their eyeballs no longer need an expensive gaming rig. NVIDIA GeForce NOW will soon be available to download onto PICO devices, meaning players with PICO branded headsets, including the new PICO 4 Ultra, can try out a range of high performance games without the need to hook up a high speed cable and a beefy GPU.

Starting at £9.99 per month or local equivalent, GeForce Now unlocks a world of gaming in the cloud. Using stacks of silicon in a low latency data center, Nvidia’s game streaming system unlocks a huge library of AAA games to try out. New users can pick up a day pass to try it out, while current subscribers can head to the PICO store to load the new app. While the traditional free tier does allow for online game streaming, the paid offering includes the Performance and Ultimate tiers. Performance users gain upgrade play time, short queue , and a rig with GeForce RTX | 8 vCPUs. Ultimate tier subscribers get even shorter queue times, more play time, and an RTX 4080 equivalent for the best-looking graphics to drown your peepers in. Players can stream through GeForce NOW by opening the browser to play.geforcenow.com when the newest app update, version 2.0.70, starts rolling out later this month

Pick up the action and play through your back catalog, bringing games from your Steam, Xbox Game Pass, Epic Games Store, and more to a more intimate setting. Whether that’s Indiana Jones, Zenless Zone Zero, or the upcoming Hyper Light breaker, there are tons of free and premium paid titles to play. Use your existing Bluetooth peripherals and get up close and personal with some demons. I’m off to looks some demons in the eye and fail spectacularly. But it’ll look incredible.
