OlliOlli World, the massive new entry in the OlliOlli series, is set to Olley-Oop into our lives with a February 2022 release date, and pre-orders are already open.
Anybody who remembers the massively underserved PSVita might also have memories of a side-scrolling skateboard adventure, OlliOlli. Alternatively, you might have tried a kickflip or two in the more recent Switch release of this stylish side scroller. Either way, the pixelated runner has come on some way since 2014 and the latest entry in the highly addictive franchise is ready to stick the landing across Pc and Console. Private Division and Roll7 today confirmed that OlliOlli World will slide onto PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch on 8 February 2022.
While that is something of a wait for players eager to get grinding, pre-orders for OlliOlli World are already open, meaning you can grab some pre-release goodies for the game too. The base pre-order will include the new game, the first and second story expansion, as well as a Close Encounter Skate Deck. The two included story expansions are bundled as you’d expect for DLC and will add in several new biomes, characters, gameplay, and customization features as the two updates launch across Summer and Fall 2022. In addition, the pre-order packs will receive bonus digital cosmetic items, including a Bunnylord Head, Hero T-Shirt, Hero Skate Deck, Hero Tattoos, and Hero Arm Cast.
While we’re massively excited to try out OlliOlli World, we’ll all have to settle for the latest gameplay overview, found above, that covers much of the core experience. Players picking up OlliOlli World will experience a huge vibrant world full of colorful characters. As you pick up your board and flow through this cartoon backdrop, you’ll perform tricks, avoid the local landmarks, and turn the environment into your playground. While the same core balance between flow and gameplay continues at the heart of this quest for Gnarvana, players will find a vastly expanded experience, multiplayer opportunities, and a ton of customization options on board.
