Glumberland sent out a word about their farming and collecting game, Ooblets. It is going to be published by Double Fine Presents. Additonally, a copy of the game will be playable at GDC next week.
What is, or rather, who are Ooblets?
Players will get to manage a farm as well as find wild Ooblets. Some of which you can find in the trailer above. There will also be a way to battle other trainers. Additionally, players can collect a variety of stuff and set up a small shop (perhaps to sell the extras?)
The farming gameplay is full of juicy upgrades, automation, and zany crops like fleeps, greeps, and zuchinoids. Zany! Explore the regions of Oob and travel across different biomes finding new ooblets, trainers, seeds, and maybe even some hats.
Ever felt like catching some Pokemon and breeding yourself an army while living the life? That is, taking care of crops, decorating your house as well as getting vacations in weird places? This might just be your chance.
