Square Enix and People Can Fly held a large demonstration for the upcoming action Outrides, revealing world tiers, custom UI, one of the four available classes – Trickster and some gameplay footage. Outriders is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC in late 2020.
Outriders is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter by People Can Fly Studios and Square Enix set in an original, dark and desperate sci-fi universe. As mankind bleeds out in the trenches of Enoch, you’ll create your own Outrider and embark on a journey across the hostile planet. Combining intense gunplay with violent powers and an arsenal of increasingly twisted weaponry and gear-sets, Outriders offers countless hours of gameplay from one of the finest shooter developers in the industry
Outriders – World Tiers
Players of The Division might be familiar with the system of World Tiers – a flexible difficulty system that allows players to fine-tune the game to suit your style and play in leisure. Play for the story or challenge yourself to a hell-on-Enoch experience!
Generally speaking, higher World Tiers are more difficult as they increase enemy damage, armor, health and level. However, players will also get more and better rewards to off-set the difficulty spike.
Outriders – Custom UI
The game allows players high levels of customization for UI, providing a choice in how and what information is going to be displayed from Damage Numbers, life bars and more.
Some people like seeing all kinds of available information while others prefer to concentrate on the core info such as cooldowns and health.
Outriders – The Trickster
The next footage is dedicated to one of the four Outriders’ classes, the Trickster. The video goes through ins and outs of the class, covering what kind of player might like Trickster, the fundamentals, healing, powers overview (with 4 abilities out of 8 demonstrated in action), power combos and more.
This spotlight will cover everything from who this class is for, how the Tricksters unique mechanics work as well as his skills, abilities and passives.
Outriders – First City Gameplay
The last but not the least is gameplay footage of the devs battling their way through the hostile territory of First City, their mission to find and obtain a truck that holds invaluable information on the signal. There are two versions of the vid: with and without the dev commentary.
