The developers of Overwatch 2 rolled out a new trailer to celebrate the beginning of an all-new adventure. Experience the next chapter of the Overwatch saga in Invasion Story Missions, unleash solar power as the newest Support Hero Illari, fight for control of two new maps in the new permanent game mode Flashpoint, and so much more.
Overwatch 2: Invasion launches on August 10th, bringing along a new Support Hero Illari, new PvP mode Flashpoint and much more. The developers also teased new PvP maps Suravasa & New Junk City as well as new game mode Hero Mastery. Of course, a new season means an all-new battle pass, events and more.
In Overwatch 2: Invasion, you and your friends can take on three action-packed missions that take place in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Gothenburg—massive maps with complex objectives, and an in-depth storyline that will guide you along the way. You’ll fight against the intensified forces of Null Sector, who will continue to attack until you’ve completely dismantled them. Stay alert for challenging enemies that haven’t been encountered before, such as the powerful Artillery and the deadly Stalkers.
Coming right after the Overwatch: Genesis trilogy, Invasion is a sobering tale that shows vastly different side of the omnics. Overwatch 2 players can also check out the latest animated short “Calling”, featuring Sojourn right before the Invasion begins. It serves as a perfect introduction of the event and, perhaps, leads us right to the events of Zero Hour, the animated trailer that initially revealed OW2. You can check both of them out below!
