Overwatch PC Free Weekend

Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new free weekend coming to the PC version of heroic co-op shooter Overwatch. From July 26 through July 30 you can jump in on the action for free.

For this free weekend, we’re making Overwatch’s full roster of 28 heroes—including Wrecking Ball—and 18 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Players will also be able to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options for their heroes.

If you decide to purchase the game, you will keep the achieved progress as long as you use the same Battle.net account.

More about the game:

Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer and first-person shooter game developer and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It is a cross-platform game for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Overwatch places players into two teams of six with each person selecting one of the roster of heroes categorized as Assault, Defense, Tank or Support. Maps are set in futuristic versions of real-world locations and feature several different game modes, including Escort the Payload, Control Points and Capture the Flag. Winning a match earns players experience and at certain points loot boxes that contain any one of a number of cosmetic rewards or in-game currency. Overwatch is Blizzard’s first effort in an online multiplayer shooter and is based on project Titan which was an MMORPG in development for several years before being cancelled in 2014.
