Curve Games and Lychee Game Labs have unleashed a trailer for a monstrous new adventure. Coming next month and mixing adorable creatures with bullet hell action, Patch Quest is a manic mix of ideas that is likely to be rawrsome. Due to explode onto PC on 2 march 2023, this brightly colored presentation plunges players into the jungle surrounded by vicious monsters, Unlike traditional Pocket Monsters, you’ll need to lasso these critters and hope they don’t bite back.
As this adventure parades through the undergrowth of Patchlantis, you’ll need to rope in a range of over 50 species. You can mount every monster in the game to claim their skills as your own. All of these have a unique set of skills! Some of them can fly, swim, or leap across hazardous terrain. And all of them can pack a serious punch in combat!
Those boosts and behaviors will be required because every run you make spawns a new patchwork of terrain, different monsters, and new challenges to overcome. With over 200 unique plants and minerals, gadgets, ammo, fruits, flowers, and tons of shortcuts through the forest, there’s plenty to do and see between the epic boss battles that await. Hopefully, there is treasure too. While Patch Quest has been in Early Access for an extended period, it looks like it’s ready to roar.
