Path of Exile 2 Early Access Launch Delayed Three Weeks

Path of Exile 2 Early Access Launch Delayed Three Weeks for a Smoother Transition

Grinding Gear Games has announced that early access for Path of Exile 2 has been slightly delayed. Originally planned for a November 15th launch, the game will now arrive in its early access form on December 6th. According to the dev team, the extra three weeks will allow for a smoother transition from PoE1 to the new game. For players, this is a good thing. This means that developers have more time to ensure that all purchased and earned items and account data are successfully moved to PoE2.

Game Director Jonathan Rogers announced the delay via the video below.

A written announcement was also posted to the PoE 2 Steam page.

One of the key promises we made is that all your microtransactions will work across both PoE 1 and PoE 2. In order to do that, we have to integrate the account systems, but also for the console realms as well.

We have to get everything perfect so that nobody loses anything they paid for, and nobody has their account broken.

So with that in mind, we have decided to delay.
