Coming from developer Grinding Gear Games, Path of Exile 2 is an upcoming next generation free-to-play action RPG about to enter Early Access on December 6th, 2024. To keep players properly hyped, the developers have been keeping a steady supply of news, videos, teasers and announcements. Among the latest is the opening cinematic trailer as well as PC system requirements. Let’s check them out!
“For 20 years Wraeclast has been free from any sources of Corruption, but the Count of Ogham, tempted by promises of power, intends to harness it once more. The dead are rising, monsters are mutating, and madness is spreading. It falls to you to track down the Seed of Corruption, the source of all this devastation. On the way you’ll face fearsome monsters, meet strange characters, forge unlikely bonds, and uncover lost civilisations.”
First things first, PoE2 launches into Early Access on December 6th at 11am PST on all supported platforms, including a standalone PC client, Steam and Epic Games Store clients as well as Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the game will not be available on MacOS from the start, but the team is keen to add support for the platform as soon as possible.
To participate, you have to buy one of the Early Access Supporter Packs. Alternatively, if you have purchased a top-tier supporter pack in the past or have spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases in Path of Exile on a single platform, you’ll automatically have access to Path of Exile 2.
