Owlcat Games and Koch Media have just announced that the upcoming RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will get physical console editions later this year.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous might be set to release on PC soon, but now console owners can get in on the adventure and grab a physical copy of this new take on the table top smash, Thanks to the publishing team at Koch Media, and their newly launched Prime Matter label, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will get a boxed release of the latest title in the Pathfinder story.
This follow up to the 2018 Pathfinder: Kingmaker already made its way into Early Access on PC, but the new tale in a world overrun by demons and supernatural forces should hit stores wherever you are, according to Owlcat games.
“As a game developer, we are always happy to bring our games to as many players as possible. We received a lot of questions from our fans and today we can officially confirm that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is coming to consoles both digitally and in retail.” said Oleg Shpilchevskiy, Head of Owlcat Games.
“And we are glad to continue our partnership with Koch Media and its newly launched Prime Matter label to bring physical console copies to the stores around the globe,” he added.
While we don’t have a lot more detail on what the physical editions of this RPG will entail, we do know that Kingmaker dropped on both Xbox and PlayStation platforms, so we can likely expect this to continue for the new release.
New Forts On The Roadmap
Today’s announcement coincides with the unveiling of more details on Drezen, a sprawling fortress with a pivotal role in the campaign; you can watch it below.
A linchpin of the Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous story, players learn about the city early in the game as they interact with people who witnessed its siege and claim to be responsible for its loss 70 years ago. The Queen directs heroes to take back the fortress — by any means necessary — and the assault’s starting location is highly influenced by the choices players make and the advice they follow, with the fortress changing constantly, depending on the Mythic Path you choose and decisions you make throughout the game.
If you’re eager to get into Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous you can check out the current testing status over on the official website, have a look at all the recent announcements or grab it when this arrives on PC, via Steam, GOG and Epic Games, and GeForce Now, on 2 September 2021.
