Howdy, pards! In case you didn’t know it, today is the launch day for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC. It’s been a long year waiting for PC fans, but with today’s release, the wait is finally over.
We’ve got the information you need to make sure you’re ready to roll now that the gates are open.
Launch Time
RDR2 fans started moseying into the game starting at 5:00 am Pacific / 8:00 am Eastern. If you missed the moment the lights went on, fret not: It’ll be waiting for you when you get home from work.

What you can expect
Players can expect a number of improvements and enhancements for PC. “New graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion include increased draw distances for better navigation; higher-quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.”
Where to get RDR2
Both the Rockstar Launcher and the Epic Games Store have the PC version available today. Steam users will have to wait until December to get started.
