Episodic Adventure Pendula Swing Release on Steam

A different kind of fantasy adventure.

Valiant Games announced that the first two volumes in its episodic adventure, Pendula Swing, are now available on Steam for PC and MacOS.

Envisioning fantasy creatures intermixed with American’s Roaring 20’s, Pendula Swing tackles social issues that would have been present within the timeframe such as racial prejudices and wealth disparities. Even the art deco stylization is a throwback to the era!

In Pendula Swing, you will take on the role of Brialynne Donu Tenúm, a dwarven heroine responsible for saving the world 400 years prior. Once retired from her hero days, Brialynne must once again step up to adventure’s call when she hears that a priceless artefact has been stolen.

Taking its cues from serialized television shows, each episode of Pendula Swing is roughly 40 – 60 minutes long. The first two episodes, “Tired and Retired” and “The Old Hero’s New Journey” are currently available on Steam. You can play the first episode for free, but the second will cost $4.99 USD. A season pass is available at a 30% discount ($17.50 USD) until August 30th. After August 30th, the season pass will cost $25.99 USD.

  • Find your own way to solve the challenges you face and shape what kind of person you want to be in these times of great progress and radical changes
  • An interesting main story arch that will spark your curiosity about the main characters’ life and dramas
  • Unrestricted exploration and discovery of a living town, filled with interesting people and complex stories. It’s up to you if you want to get involved

It is an intriguing concept to put fantasy characters into a more modern timeline, just ask Will Smith and the cast of Bright. What do you think about the idea of orcs and elves in the Roaring 20’s? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
