Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers Is Coming West

persona 5 scramble: the phantom thieves coming west

Person 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers is yet another hit title based on the Persona franchise and it looks like it is coming west, according to reports.

Spotted by Persona Central first, the news that Persona 5 Scramble is coming west came courtesy of a financial report, belonging to publisher Koei Tecmo. Eagle-eyed fans of the hit RPG franchise spotted the listing in Koei Tecmo’s financial earnings report for the first quarter, ending 31 March 2021. Base on the information in the report, it is expected that fans ready to find their inner self again will be able to rejoin the Phantom Thieves sometime this year on Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

A Western Port

Persona 5 Scramble launched in eastern markets back in February 2020, taking fans of the franchise by Storm. It has nearly topped half a million sales and takes a slightly different approach to the world of Persona. While the more mainline Persona series, like PS4 Golden, mix a slice of life with other wordly JRPG adventures, the entry produced by developers mega Force and P-Studio is closer to Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors in format. Set around 6 months after the events of Persona 5, it takes players back to Japan to investigate a series of mysterious events. While there you’ll wield multiple personas, and engage in a fair bit of hack and slash combat.

We might not have the full release information on this western port of Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Thieves, but if its anywhere near as good as Persona 4: Dancing All Night then this spin-off of PS5 should be worth picking up. If you need some persona in your life before then, head over to the official Persona 5 website, or go pick up Persona 4 Golden on Steam to tide you over.
