Persona 5 Strikers, the hit spin off of the massively popular Person 5 JRPG, looks like it will be getting a western release son, thanks to some slippery fingers over at Atlus.

Thanks to some itchy trigger fingers over at the official Atlus Youtube channel last night, it appears that we now know that Persona 5 Strikers will be coming to western shores on 23 February 2021, and will be available on Switch, Playstation 4, and PC via Steam. Spotted by fans over on Twitter and now summarily unavailable at the source, the trailer as available long enough for the viewing public to confirm that this eager beaver had just unveiled the launch details for PS5 Strikers in the west.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of the PS5 Strikers coming west. Back in November, multiple stores in Asia listed English language versions of the animated adventure. Now, we just know a bit more about how and when. If you haven’t heard of this spin off to the Persona 5 experience then you might find this is a little more accessible than the previous title. While it’s set up as a sequel, kicking off around a years after the events of the Persona 5 storyline, players won’t deal with a traditional JRPG. Instead, you’ll take the stylised characters from PS5 and jump into a hack and slash style ARPG that plucks stories and characters from the Persona series while blending in the action and combat mechanics of the Dynasty Warrior franchise.

We’re not going to ruin the storyline right now, and we can’t be sure that Atlus won’t change its mind, but if you were planning some down time to slash through Persona 5 Strikers, then you know roughly when to slip out of work. In the mean time, you can check out more about the original Persona 5 in our review.
