Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, the latest chapter in the Phantasy Star 2 universe, launches globally today.
Due to arrive on PC and consoles, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is set to launch fans of anime aesthetics and massive online RPGs will get something very different to the current Genshin behemoth that’s been an overwhelming success of late. Players across Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC will be able to grab this free to play adventure today and experience a new tale, distinct from the original Phantasy Star Online 2.
Set 1,000 years after the original PSO2, This new tale opens up on an ongoing struggle to protect the planet Halpha against the unknown threat of the DOLLS. While we have no idea who or what these interlopers are, we know their intentions are malevolent and it is up to you, as always, and the other members of an elite force to head out and defeat this threat. Members of the aforementioned ARKS will be able to step into vast new open field combat, with zones holding up to 32 other players while experiencing everything Halpha has to offer. The new Phantasy Star Online instalment will also offer adventurers a new graphics engine, enhanced character models, and an innovative new multi-weapon system to boot.
