Spiritle has just sprouted on iOS today, giving us the opportunity to get a few friends over and roll the dice on his gorgeous new free to play adventure.
Taking on the big guns in the Chinese mobile market is as daunting a task as taking down a dragon, but Fabled Game Studio are nine-person studio that are taking on the behemoths of the industry with a striking new free to play title. Coming out of Shenzhen, the team of indies just unleashed their fantasy four-player turn-based strategy on iOS. Taking the form of a digital board game and twisting in tons of creative ideas, this party game challenges players to reclaim their place in the World Tree.
Featuring 4-player cross-platform play, Spiritle tasks players to choose one of 8 different spirits drawing energy from the four elements. Each of these posses their own playstyle and abilities, meaning each turn might resolve differently. Fully fledged campaigns turn up all sorts of situations and challenges, all playing out over 4 dynamic seasons. While this definitely reminds us of ARMELLO, that’s no bad thing.
Spiritle’s art style certainly reminds me of Armello, but you can expect more of a tile matching puzzler here. If you’re looking for something chilled out and free after failing to conquer Elden Ring, take a look at the Spiritle website.
