Planet X-11 Bites Back As Starship Troopers: Extermination Update 0.8 Deploys

Starship Troopers: Extermination - mountains of bugs

Starship Troopers: Extermination Update 0.8 is locked and loaded with a trip to Tibannis and brand-new content on the way.

Grab your gear and prepare to take on a brand-new infestation in the latest Starship Troopers: Extermination update. The Early Access bug shooter set bring the war against the Arachnids to a new planet today, with an ever-changing terrain. The world of Planet X-11 adds new fertile ground for plenty of additional action, and the corpses of your enemies.

This new environment is a huge clean up task. Once a designated Federation mining planet, this update is firmly in the Tibannis system, deep within the Arachnid Quarantine Zone. Coupled with a crucial deep space listening post, this makes Planet X-11 a target for the Arachnid hordes. Fortunately, that target rich environment includes 2 ARC Locations, 2 Horde Locations, 8 AAS Locations & 4 Hive Hunt Maps. This is a massive content drop, but there’s still more. In a twist the usual fire and forget nature of bug hunting, your actions have consequences on Planet X-11. Every Arachnid that falls at the feet of the Mobile Infantry lies where it dies. This creates an ever-changing topology that can work to your or the bugs’ advantage. Living Bugs can adapt to the new terrain, which even allows them to reach previously inaccessible areas! Fantastic. Climbing bugs.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is a base building come fps adventure that originally hit Early Access last year. Check out our review of the explosive arrival. The mix of over the top action, exploding creepy things, and horde mechanics mix together to playfully draw on the big screen shlock that made Verhoeven’s Starship Troopers a cult classic film. If you’re looking for a little more MI in your Helldivers 2 then head over to the official website and sign up before the game launches and takes aim at PC PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X | S consoles on 11 October.
