Frontier Developments has announced that the Wetlands Animal Pack DLC will launch for Planet Zoo on April 12, 2022. The new content will be available for purchase for $9.99 and includes an array of new animals. The same day will mark the launch of the free base-game update that will include new content for all players.
The Wetlands Animal Pack brings a wide variety of new creatures into the game including:
- Capybara
- Platypus
- Asian Small Clawed Otter
- Spectacled Caiman
- Nile Lechwe
- Wild Water Buffalo
- Red-Crowned Crane
- Danube Crested Newt
In addition to the animals, players will also enjoy seeing new animations such as deep-water hunting, relaxing bathing habits, and more. Zookeepers will also find a new timed scenario in the Brazilian Pantanal region. Players will also work with an animal sanctuary to rescue, adopt, and care for new arrivals to the facility. As always, the goal is to educate guests.
The base-game update includes a number of extras and enhancements such as:
- roaming educator talks
- the Explore Cam feature allows players to experience their zoos at guest height
- a color and transparency editor for exhibit water
