PlateUp! Dishes Halloween Fun

PlateUp! Halloween Update

Yogscast Games has announced that PlateUp! will be receiving a large update on October 25th. The team also announced that over 500,000 players have downloaded and played the single- and multiplayer roguelite management sim since its release in August.

The patch comes with a heaping helping of spooky Halloween content that introduces some new dishes and “fa-boo-lous” new hats for aspiring chefs. Players can now make spooky-themed dishes like Pumpkin Pie and Spiny Fish. Two new automation items are also incoming, including Teleporters that update the dumbwaiter system and Corner Grabbers that can change the direction of a grabber’s output. This makes things much more space efficient.

The update also includes four new run-modifying cards, including Tipping Culture and Picky Eaters. Customer patience is central to Tipping Culture. They will pay a tip based on what remains of their patience. Picky eaters tasks players with throwing out food left behind by customers.

Regarding a half-million players checking out the game, Simon Byron, Director of Publishing at Yogscast Games, said, “PlateUp!’s unprecedented success has allowed us to double down on content updates. We’ve added support for the game and built out a roadmap of new content we think fans will love. We’re delighted to be able to continue to work with Alastair. We are truly thrilled for him and the game’s ongoing success.”
