Pocket Monster get guns when Palworld enters early access on 19 January 2024
Mark your calendars and prepare to have your childhood memories of cute pet battlers usurped. Pocketpair just dropped a trailer announcing the Early Access launch date for Palworld. After first entering our consciousness and leaving most of us reeling during Summer Games Fest 2023, the idea of giving your Tamagotchi an uzi and unleashing it on the world has had us intrigued. Now, we’ve got just over a week until this oddity goes live.
The Early Access launch is expected to unlock Pocketpair’s latest as a simultaneous global release, meaning players simply need to grab it on Steam or Xbox Game Pass to get in and get involved with some farmyard munitions. While it won’t be available on PlayStation the new adventure will open up a huge multiplayer open world to those of us with a PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, or Game Pass compatible device. Out in the wilderness of Palworld, players will be able to hunt and capture the animals loitering in the wilderness. Suing them like traditional pocket pets, you’ll get to chose how you play. That could mean farming peacefully, building a life, breeding Pals, setting your Pal to work, exploring dungeons, engaging in battle against some ruthless opponents.
There’s a lot of promises being made, but if this manages to even scratch the surface of its potential then it could be worth some time. If you’re looking to jump into Palworld early access then check out the full FAQ over on the official Steam Store page now.
