In just over three years, Pokemon Go has been downloaded three BILLION times worldwide. Nintendo is running a series of five Japanese television ads where the announcement was made. You can see them all over at Nintendo Everything, but we’re pretty sure the one below is the one where the number was revealed.
The number is absolutely staggering if you consider that China, the world’s most populous nation, has 1.42 billion people. A billion is nearly twice the population of the US and Russia combined!
It’s estimated that Pokemon Go has brought in over $2.5B dollars in revenue in its three years. It is available for both Android and iOS mobile devices on the App Store and Google Play.
