Pokemon Go Just Got 300 New Pokestops In The UK

Pokemon Go

Trainers out and about in the UK this weekend might have noticed that there are a few new additions to the local high street as retailer JD just opened the doors on 300 new Pokemon Go Pokestops.

Sports and leisurewear retailer JD has teamed up with Pokemon Go to unveil a new JD x Pokemon Go event that will give gym Bunnelby’s a reason to check out their local shopping street on the way to get a sweat on. As of right now, the new JD x Pokemon Go event has introduced a total of 300 extra Pokestops to England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales. Each one provides its own opportunity to capture a new location on the map and even includes seven new gym locations in Newcastle, Manchester, London West One, Birmingham, Merryhill, Liverpool One. and Leicester Highcross. Anybody who happens across these new additions should be able to cooperate in scheduled Raid Battles against Legendary Pokémon. While I haven’t had an opportunity to check them out yet, I’d suspect the best place to start is your local JD outlet, where you’ll be able to score some collect Nike-themed avatar items by spinning the PokéStop and tapping the Nike items.

For those of you who missed it somehow, Pokemon Go is the massive hit mobile spin-off, inspired by the Pokemon series. players picking up this title on Android or iOS can wander the real world, using an augmented reality system to catch and train cartoon creatures to do battle against each other. Launching back in 2016, this on-the-go gaming phenomenon continues to be one of the most popular games across both the Apple App  and the Google Play storefronts. If you’re more successful at running a 5Km than toppling the local staff’s Pokemon then the in-game items are inspired by Nike’s own lineup of clothing. If you’re braving the rain today to topple a new gym then we’ve included the full list of new Pokestop locations below and you can check out the official announcement over at the JD website.
