Niantic has announced that Pokemon Go will be celebrating Dia de Muertos for the first time ever in the game. The event will run from Monday, November 1, 2021 until Tuesday, November 2, 2021 and will feature a number of event bonuses, a collection challenge, and a GO battle day. In addition, a number of Pokemon will be out and about in the wild and just waiting for players to catch them. Players will also be treated to a free event box and avatar item just for taking part.
Here’s what players can expect:
- Event bonuses including
- Lures and incense lasting for 90 minutes
- 2x catch Stardust
- Collection Challenge to find and collect all the Dia de Muertos creatures to encounter a Shedinja to receive a Poffin and an Incense
- GO Battle Day is November 1st to receive 4x Stardust from win rewards
- Tons of Wild Encounters including Cubone, Sunkern, Murkrow, Houndour, Sableye, Roselia, Sunflora, Drifloon, and Yamask
- Incense and Lure Encounters
- Field Research Task Encounters
- Pokemon Spotlight Hour on Tuesday, November 2nd
- Research Breakthrough Encounter on Monday, November 1st
