I love me a good RTS, and Bannermen looks like it’s shaping up to be one that fits in that category. One thing I can’t stand, however, is not knowing what to build and when to maximize strategic value and effect. Fortunately, Pathos Interactive and 2tainment GmBH have made a comprehensive Unit Overview for our perusal and war-waging convenience. Now you can see and adequately plan for the units with the confidence of an experienced general!
Right, some of you are probably thinking you have no idea what Bannermen is. I will remedy this situation. Bannermen is an upcoming RTS title for PC from developer Pathos Interactive and 2tainment GmBH that takes place in a medieval world that, along with the usual medieval units, bases, and tactics, employs a unique “environmental” magic. This magic system enables players to bring the very forces of nature to bear against opponents, including lightning strikes, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, and the like. These aren’t your usual shoot-and-forget spells, however, as the repercussions of their usage can permanently change the game world. In case you need some visuals, here’s the trailer:
I don’t know about you, but that’s something I would dearly like to see for myself. And I will. The Bannermen team has announced a free public Beta for the game which will launch on Feb 8 and run until Feb 10. During this beta you can experience parts of the story, and become accustomed to tactical gameplay before the game releases. And prepare for the multiplayer modes.
Don’t forget to go to the site to sign up for the beta and check this game out! Or if you just need more information, the same link will take you to where you need to go.
