Last night’s Bethesda E3 2018 Showcase, a ton of big announcements were made. One of the smaller, yet important ones centered on Prey that received a huge update complete with a new game mode. If that’s not interesting enough, Bethesda also announced that a new DLC is in the works!
The latest patch includes a triple treat of new things for players. First, there is “story mode” that lets players take a more relaxing journey through the game. Second is “New Game +” that lets players keep growing their characters after finishing the game fully at least once. Lastly, Survival mode challenges players to show off their tough sides with rarer resources and more.
In addition to the above, Bethesda announced Mooncrash, another addition coming to the game very soon. It promises that every run will be unique in its own right and “every death is a learning experience”. The goal is to escape the moon in one piece. Best part? It’s available NOW.
In Mooncrash, fight overwhelming odds to escape the secret TranStar moon base where the enemies you encounter, the hazards you face, the goals you complete, and the loot you collect are different each time you play. With changing environments as dangerous as they are dynamic, multiple unlockable characters each with their own set of specialized and upgradable skills, and Typhon threats armed with a unique array of deadly characteristics, the Mooncrash campaign for Prey will offer a fun, infinitely replayable challenge to test even the most skilled players.
The forthcoming DLC is called Typhon Hunter and is expected to be released later this summer. One player will take on five Mimics, all of them able to use any Mimic power. Look for it later this summer.
