Developed by Dreams Incorporated, Prisma is an upcoming single-player JRPG revealed during the Latin American Games Showcase. The events of the game revolve around Alma, a journalist who uses the lens of her camera to search for truth.
A Magical Prism Shard transports Alma into a strange world of Domacon where she encounters Almas from other universes, who can be rivals or allies alike. In Domacon, magical realism is a part of everyday life. Now it is up to you to bond with her alternative versions, group up and find a way home.
You can form parties consisting of different Almas, trying to align your opinion with their viewpoints. Each decision will make your bond stronger, allowing for unique conversation options. Strong bonds unlock new combo moves, story branches, and side quests.
Your rivals, of course, will be the other Almas, each with their own agendas. There will also be Almas almong the regular NPCs, giving out quests and information. Other enemies and characters throughout Domacon are inspired by Latin American folklore. Your decisions will shape Alma and her experiences in this world.
“We wanted to play with perspective and the idea that truth is in the eye of the beholder, so we created Alma, a journalist who carries her camera everywhere,” says Carlos Rocha, CEO of Dreams Uncorporated. “She finds herself in a world where there are multiple versions of herself, with different outlooks and goals. The choices she makes–and does not make–create her circumstances and possibilities.”
