Psyonix Extend Rocket League Season 2 Into April

Rocket League developer Psyonix has just announced that fans of the mechanized sporting sim will get to keep on trucking as they extend Rocket League Season 2 into 7 April.

If you’re busy scoring goals and taking on your opponents in a high speed collision then you might have missed the new from Rocket League developer Psyonix that you’ve got extra time to take those shots. The team behind the phenomenally popular esport have just announced that season 2 of Rocket League is now running all the way up until 7 April. Originally kicking off back in December and due to park up on 31 March, this extra time should allow players to climb further up the rankings and grab some extra competitive rewards.

Loot

Talking of rewards, we also now know what you can expect to loot for all your effort out on the pitch this season. Detailed over in a blog post, found on the official Rocket League website, the Season 2 rewards are split up into three distinct categories. Traditional rank based rewards will be given out in the same manner as Season 1, providing boosts based on your bronze, silver, gold, or champion status.

Anybody lucky or good enough to make Grand Champion or Supersonic Legend status will receive some awesome titles to show off with too. The full list of these rewards is over on the official Rocket League blog. Of course, these are the competitive drops, and plenty of other weekly challenge rewards that you can get, even if you’re not a Grand Champion. You can find out about those over on the Season 2 mini site.

Rocket League Season 2 credits are also due to reset at the end of this long running season, with Psyonix confirming the following news.

Once Season 2 ends, your Tournament Credit balance will reset, which is similar to the end of Season 1. Existing Tournament Credits will convert to All-Star Cups. Players who have participated in a Competitive Tournament and have between 0-12,000 Tournament Credits will receive one All-Star Cup. Players who have more than 12,000 Tournament Credits will receive additional All-Star Cups depending how many Tournament Credits they have.

As Psyonix extend Rocket League Season 2 into April, it’s probably worth strapping back in and pushing for the extra tier while there’s still road left in my driving puns.
