The developers of popular Battle Royale PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) have rolled out a new update that allows the PS4 and Xbox One owners to play together. You can turn PUBG console crossplay function off in the settings at any time if you wish so.
“We are beyond thrilled to unify the two console platforms into one matchmaking pool and are looking forward to your feedback and reports.”
While in a match consisting of players from both consoles, players’ names will be joined by a platform identification icon. Players will be able to identify the platform of other users in loot box, when spectating, on user status message, etc.
The leaderboard will be shown differently depending on the status of the Cross-Platform Play option. If it is turned on, you will see both console platform players. It if is turned off, you will only be shown players of your own platform.
