The creators of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG Corp., have dropped their lawsuit against Epic Games’ Fortnite, thus ending the legal headbutting between the two biggest Battle Royales in the market.
According to Bloomberg, PUBG Corp. sent a letter of withdrawal on Monday, Representatives of Epic Games had no immediate comment.
The suit was based around Fortnite being originally released only featuring Save the World co-op mode. However, later the game has been expended with the free-to-play Battle Royale version, “provoking a plagiarism controversy and allegations that it copied “Battlegrounds” items and user interface”.
PUBG Corp. made no comment on what caused the withdrawal or whether a settlement has been reached.
