Blackpink, the Koran pop phenomenon is about to go digital when they perform in PUBG Mobile during July.
Forget Fortnite. Who cares about Travis Scott? PUBG Mobile is about to kick off its very first in game concert with an absolutely huge name. Pop stars Blackpink are set to kick off a fully digital performance in PUBG Mobile as part of the new version 2.1 update. The Virtual, an in-game collaboration between the group and this on the go shooter runs between July 22nd to 23rd and July 29th to 30th in North & South America, and July 23rd to 24th and 30th to 31st across the rest of the world. Players looking to catch the performance will be able to secure their free tickets in-game starting 15 July. If you’re interested in this huge first for the franchise, then remember to preload the Concert Resource Pack after securing a ticket. This is required to join the concert.
When attending the in game event, fans will get to see the group perform an array of their chart topping hits. So, we’re hoping for some As If It’s Your Last”. While this might seem like a huge score for a small screen video game, this isn’t the first time that Blinks will have flocked to the PUBG universe. Blackpink and PUBG have previously collaborated, back in 2020, to celebrate the launch of Blackpink’s record ‘The ALBUM’, one of the game’s most successful partnerships to date. Now it seems that the handheld video game is taking things to the next level, introducing a ton of other themed features to the in game action.
Outside of the on stage action, fans can check out a Special Track and new music video, designed and created specifically for this collaboration with PUBG Mobile. The outfits used by Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa will be available to obtain in game from 23 July to 31 August.
