PUBG Mobile World Championship Opens To All

PUBG Mobile World Championship

PUBG Mobile, the on the go instance of the hit battle royale title has just started registration for the PUBG Mobile Club Open 2020 (PMCO 2020) and you can enter.

Backed by a prize pool of over $5 million, more than double the prize pool on offer with last year’s chicken dinners, this worldwide open tournament is now taking applications from all skillsets. Anybody from amateurs to fully fledged pro players can register to eliminate their opponents and reach the top tier of this tournament. Such an expansive event is, of course, likely to take most of the year to reach peak performance, but players looking to get in on the action can register between now and 21 January. You’ll need to be from a participating region. These include Latin America, North America, Brazil, Europe, Turkey, Germany, the Middle East/Africa, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, South Asia, India, Pakistan, CIS, and Wildcard players. Once registration closes the year long battle will begin with qualification matches from 23 January to 2 February.

Path To Success

The very best teams in the PMCO 2020 will progress to the PUBG Mobile Pro-Leagues (PMPL) and World Leagues (PMWL). This is where things really heat up between May and October. Acting as a feeder to the World championship, the Pro-League is a chance for players to stand out on stage while representing their region. You might not imagine that this is quite up with PUBG’s desktop discipline but the 2019 event drew more than 50,5000 teams and 537 million viewers.

PUBG Mobile is Chinese gaming giant Tencent’s on the go version of the battle royale hit, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds. Launching in early 2018, it brought the same survival shooter arena to Android and Apple platforms and even spawned a lite version of the title for low end smartphones. Now, anybody looking to get a piece of the action can grab a team and get registered. If you aren’t quite ready for competition yet then check out our tips to starting out in PUBG. Once you’ve surpassed our own tips and tricks, you can do so over at the PUBG Mobile Club Open official website and prepare to grab part of the prize pool.
