Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra Drop Mami and Yachiyo Trailers

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra welcomes two new friends to the fight with Mami and Yachiyo trailers today.

Aniplex just released new details on the upcoming RPG, based on the hit Madoka Magica series. We can now get a glimpse at two characters joining the fight to push back the Witches. Mami Tomoe and Yachiyo Nanami trailers just dropped, giving potential magical girls a preview of the influential characters in action.

Mami Tomoe is a third-year student at Mitakihara Middle School and pivotal in the source material for the Madoka series. In previous incarnations and this new game, she can be found wielding a flintlock rifle and magical cannon during combat. Yachiyo Nanami also gets a trailer today. As a first-year student at Kamihama City University, this new reveal wields a halberd in battle and wields a powerful ability to survive the onslaught of encounters that lie in wait for the girls. Both Kaori Mizuhashi and Sora Amamiya return to voice their respective characters, and you can check out the recent reveal of Homura Akemi too.

Game Systems

 

Aside from the individual teasers, there’s also a look at the battle systems and overworld maps that will be part of this spin-off. This mostly confirms that the team-focused turn-based system will include a break system and a range of special attacks. It also gives potential players a new look at the map and overworlds that you can explore.

Anybody choosing to join these newly announced characters in battle will find themselves in an all-new story setting and characters from the original ideas of Gekidan Inu Curry. Follow a nameless girl in a mysterious realm as you try to recover your memories through a series of encounters and return to yourself.
