Games shows are not always as delightful as we make out, let’s be honest. Hours spent huddled among the masses in a queueing simulator can be hell. Now, QuakeCon is about to bring a new brand of torment to London with Doom Eternal.
Having just announced their annual escapade, Bethesda set their sights on the other side of the Atlantic with a brand new event titled QuakeCon Europe. This particular show runs alongside the established QuakeCon even in Dallas, TX. Spanning two days, it takes place in London’s Printworks and kicks off on 26 July. Bethesda is promising fans that manage to get into the event a chance to go face to face with an arsenal of new titles, including the aforementioned Doom Eternal.
Even though it happens to be the Year of Doom, fans of the hellspawn can also entertain themselves at QuakeCon Europe with the bonkers fun Rage 2, two new Wolfenstein games, Quake Champions, Fallout 76, and the latest additions to The Elder Scrolls Online, which our own Bill Murphy swears by. The prospect of other unreleased titles, special developer sessions, and extra special swag also hangs in the air. While we are going to do our very best to get in on the action, there’s nothing stopping you gearing up and busting heads.
Tickets to Quakecon Europe will be absolutely free of charge, so tickets are bound to go quickly. You can already register to get ticketing updates over at the official QuakeCon Europe website and plan your own avenue of attack. If you happen to be too far away from Dallas or London to obliterate some demons then Doom Eternal is due out on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Just watch out for the portals and you’ll know its time.
