Rainbow Six Siege Toxicity

Player toxicity is not a new concept for online multiplayer games, and each title holds its own battle against different kinds of unsatisfactory behaviour – from cheaters to harassers and more. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is not an exception.  Brand director Alexandre Remy spoke with PCGamesN about the issue and the plans of the team.

Remy mentioned how there are already tools present in the game for this very issue, including Battleye and the report button, but it is still lacking. The next step to take for the team is to bring more clarity to the reporting tool.

We have a lot of ideas and we are thinking about how we can tackle teamkills. It depends on your place and your experience as a Rainbow Six Siege player, in fact I think it was with that I mentioned we are thinking about potentially removing friendly fire. I think that would resolve a lot of issues and for entry players I think it is a very good way of avoiding those behaviours. Starting next year, we need to start fixing toxicity.
