Fans of old school entertainment will know that sometimes, the classics are perfect as they are and sometimes we just remember the good bits. United Independent Entertainment is set to test that theory with a return to an old adventure, in Realms of Arkania: Star Trail.
A remake of the classic Realms of Arkania sequel, this modern retelling of the original 1990’s RPG series is out now and available on Microsoft’s Xbox One. For players jumping into Arkania for the first time, the first in the franchise already saw off the combined force of the united Orc tribes. Their attempt to take the land of Thorwal thwarted, they continue to fester around the edges of the world causing uncertainty and danger. As a new danger looms, Realms of Arkania: Star Trail sets players and their party on a quest to recover a mysterious artifact known as the Salamander Stone. Adventurers will explore the Svelt valley, fight epic battles, and hopefully unite the elvan and dwarf races.
The update of this RPG brings Arkania to life with a massive overhaul of the first Realms of Arkania: Star Trail. Modern 3D graphics take center stage to retell this tale, while a hardcore turn-based combat system mixes old and new. Dozens of talents, a full-fledged progression system, and a staff full of spells are available to choose from as you level your party, explore a range of handcrafted cities, and interact with the locals. Realms of Arkania: Star Trail had a generally positive response when it hit PC back in 2017 and it looks like Xbox One owners are in for some definite old school nostalgia. You can find Realms of Arkania: Star Trail in the Microsoft Store or find out more on the official website.
