Red Dead Redemption 2 devs apologize for rocky PC launch

Red Dead Redemption 2

The PC launch of Red Dead Redemption 2 has not been the smoothest as it has been plagued by technical issues. Rockstar Games has apologized for the rocky start and has promised that players will be compensated for the frustrating launch sometime in the future.

In addition to the apology, Rockstar has rolled out a new patch that addresses a persistent stuttering issue that Nvidia graphics card users have been experiencing. “We are still currently working together with Nvidia to completely resolve the stuttering issue in a future update and it may take us up to a few days to properly test everything and ensure the next update completely solves the problem.” the post reads.

Players are encouraged to continue reporting any issues they may be having with the game and to be sure to check the troubleshooting page to see any potential workarounds or fixes that may already be available. Devs have promised to keep the community updated about its work on future updates to address ongoing problems with RDR2.

Players will be receiving a free care package in the coming days by way of apology from the development team. The care package will be available from now “through the holiday season”. It will contain “the Prieto Poncho and an assortment of provisions and ammo”. The team has promised more details over the coming days.
