Originally Electronic Arts planned to release the co-op action Anthem in Fall 2018, however, the company’s finance chief Blake Jorgensen confirmed to WSJ that the date is being pushed back to early 2019. The change is brought by the fact that a new Battlefield game will be launched in October and the firm expects Anthem to get more attention if the time span between the two releases is increased.
Electronic Arts also denied Kotaku’s claim that the change is brought by Anthem’s development falling behind schedule.
