Release The Vikings As Frozenheim Gets A Launch Trailer

Frozenheim, the adventure from the frozen North, just broke the ice on a new launch trailer ahead of its official launch.

Due to arrive on PC  around 16 June after an epic journey through myth, merriment, and Steam Early Access, Frozenheim is going live in just a few weeks. Brining a fully fledged Norse city builder and tactical adventure to gamers globally, this is easily the warmest way to lead your clans to victory. You can forgoes the longboat and kick back in your gaming chair to set out into the wilderness and put down roots where others would not dare. As winter closes in you’ll need to direct the little people to construct a settlement, survive the harsh realities of life, and steel the blades of your warriors for some bloody RTS battles.

Developed by paranoid Interactive and published by Hyperstrange, this new city builder might have some seemingly straightforward goals, but the path to glory and a thriving settlement isn’t easy. Domestic chores mean you’ll need to forage, hunt, gather, and direct resources to expand your settlement’s prospects. While there are plenty of resource management and building operations to engage in, Vikings do one other thing well. When the waters are ready and the longboats ship shape, your band of explorers will set out to discover new areas to raid. Assuming there is any resistance, Frozenheim opens up a new avenue of gameplay where strategy and preparation allow players to see of their enemies and hopefully take home some spoils. Whether you choose to be a simple fishing village, or northern pirates intent on exploiting your neighbours is up to you.

Before things go live, the eighth and final Early Access update will land, moving the game up to version 0.9. Players who have already picked up this title will get a third story campaign. Its four missions focus their narrative on Thorstein, the hero of the Bear Clan, and make up for the total of sixteen scenarios available in the game. The multi-player segment receives its long-awaited matchmaking feature, and siege weapons make their way into the north land battlefields.

When 16 June arrives, this will not only see a version number tick up but players can expect an expanded story and some added visual flair too. You can check out Frozenheim and grab it now or during the launch week discounts over on the official Steam Store page.
