Via the announcement on the official site, Remedy Entertainment (Alan Wake, Quantum Break, Control) revealed that the studio will be remaking the iconic Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne games in an agreement with Rockstar Games.
Remedy developed the original Max Payne games that were published by Rockstar, so the relationship between the studios dates back to early 2000’s. The company will develop the games as a single title for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S using Northlight game engine. The development will be financed by Rockstar.
The project is currently in the concept development stage so it will be some time before it sees the light of day. Stay tuned to find out more when the developers and the publisher are ready to share!
