Developer Bluepoch is back for a celebration of a very exciting milestone: the global version of Reverse: 1999 is turning 1 year old! In order to prepare Timekeers for the celebration, the team held the special 1st Anniversary Preview program. You can watch it in its entirety right here or check out the special trailer “In Search of Lost Time” above! It recounts important moments from this year-long journey that took players through various eras and regions. The video also shows off some impressive artworks created by the community.
“In the eye of this storm, the line between past and present blurs. Together with our cherished companions, we reflect on the inspiring moments of our journey.”
For this highly special occasion, Hitako, the game producer, and Bone Crusher, the lead artist, joined to share their journeys and future plans—plus a little surprise at the end!
Additionally, the team shared that the latest Version 1.9: Vereinsamt will launch on September 19 with new events, stories, and arcanists. In true Reverse: 1999 fashion, the story will take an exciting turn going forward! This time, Timekeepers will come so very near to the future.
Players will encounter a brand-new 6-star arcanist: Lucy. Her design is inspired in part by Metropolis, the classic sci-fi film by Fritz Lang. You can also learn more about her through the Character Story “Flying to the Past”. She crosses rivers, boarding small boats, enduing the lengthy voyages of time, without ever looking back, until she merges back into the sea, and the waterbirds take flight.
Kakania is also due a Character Story – “Through the Glass”. From a merciless destruction, from the fragments of yesteryears, she sees truth.
But if the continuation of the main story, a new 6-star arcanist and a couple of character-related stories are entirely not enough, there’s a new game mode to look forward to as well! “A Series of Dusks” is a roguelike mode that will bring a brand-new free 5-star character Lorelei, and plenty of other rewards.
