The developers from Bluepoch had been on hand to share the first details of the upcoming Reverse: 1999 – Version 2.2: Tristes Tropiques. Regardless, now, the die is cast. Welcome to São Paulo!
The new update is slated to arrive on January 9th on mobile and PC. The new events will take Timekeepers to São Paulo, a city where Arcanists and humans live side-by-side, both equally passionate. Violence is far from a means to an end here, it’s a tool – and one too readily used.
The new storyline will follow the Apostle Brotherhood, and feature both new and familiar faces. At the center of it all, Anjo Nala, a girl with a secret that we had previously met in Versions 2.0 & 2.1 under the name of Kimberly.
Reverse: 1999 – Version 2.2 Events & Additions Include:
- New characters: Anjo Nala (true limited Beast 6-star), Lopera (Beast 6-star), Mr. Duncan (Beast 5-star), White Rum (Intellect 4-star).
- New main story Chapter 8: Tristes Tropiques. Our journey now takes us to São Paulo, where the stationed Zeno forces, a mysterious writer, and a “familiar face” who vanished in the “Storm” await… As tensions reignite, perhaps it’s time to reevaluate the allegiances you’ve held until now.
- Carnival Special Guest – log in to get a new 6-star character. Login during the event to get a free 6-star character from the regular banner that you don’t have yet. If you already own all the characters from the standard pool, you can select and get a 6-star character’s Artifice.
- Carnival Invitation – log in during the event to get one of the participating 5-star characters. A repeated character will be converted into an Artifice or Tracks of the Lost.
- Roar Jukebox Carnival Album – free festival-version Roar Jukebox. Reach Decibel Level 10 to get Silhouettes of Fashion, using which will let you select a specific character garment from the available list or a Bespoke Garment. Bespoke Garment can be used to save 880 Crystal Drops when purchasing a garment.
- A number of Sign-in and Check-in events that you don’t want to miss out on!

In other related news, the developer shave revealed the official merch store launching on January 10th. It will offer merchandise from Version 1.0 all the way to the upcoming 2.2! Additionally, there is a new themed EP with vibrant South American vibes set to release in the future.
Last but not least, the studio also announced future collaborations: the second phase of the Discovery collab is in the works, and will launch in the near future.
