Rhythm of the Universe: Ionia, the musical VR adventure from Rotu Entertainment, is set for release on 23 September.
Rotu Entertainment has confirmed that Rhythm of the Universe: IONIA, the musical VR adventure that we previewed back in September 2020, is st to get a full release on 23 September. The very first chapter in the Ionia series, this new tale will be available via Oculus Store for Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility, and Steam VR for Valve Index, Oculus Rift S, HTC Vive, Vive Pro, and HP Reverb G2 with English, Spanish, French, Simplified Chinese, and German language support.
We don’t have a price as part of the announcement, but we do know that this narrative finds players in the shoes of an unlikely young adventurer, as they seek out to find the solution to an imminent disaster. As doom looms on the horizon, players must venture out into the jungle to find out if some ancient myths can really help their tribe survive. A series of musical concepts and intriguing puzzles have earned impressive acclaim for the title during its development, including an award at Cannes XR Development Showcase 2020, part of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, and was nominated for another at Raindance Film Festival. In addition, Epic Games awarded an Epic Mega Grant to the title to support its efforts for showcasing Unreal Engine technology.
Just as important as the impact the story will have on players, developer Rotu is putting profits behind their environmental message. Five percent of proceeds from Rhythm of the Universe will benefit the environmental non-profit Wildlife Warriors Worldwide, helping to protect wildlife and wild places all over the planet. When we took an early look at Rhythm of the Universe: Ionia, the concepts and a different take on puzzles and progression managed to keep us watching at least this long.
