Sudden Strike 4 has expanded today with the arrival of the Road to Dunkirk DLC. The new content offers players new campaigns and “powerful new units”. You can purchase a copy for a short time for 10% off the normal $10 price tag.

Players who purchase the DLC will find four brand new single player missions as well as 10 new units. You’ll find German, French and British units that can add a whole new dimension to the game.
There are two sides to every story, and so it is with Dunkirk. You’ll play as either an Allied commander or a German commander. One side plays defense while the other plays offense in a battle to capture the town.

I found Sudden Strike 4 to be merely adequate. It has a (to me) wonderful array of clever mechanics that promise interesting tactical gameplay, but a laundry list of quibbles ends up draining the glamor from the game. It’s very hard to recommend Sudden Strike over any of the other tactical offerings out there right now, which feels to me to be a shame.
